The partners of the European research project Automat recently met at Masmec to review the current progress of the activities.

This project aims to foster a circular economy for batteries through technologies that maximise the reuse of suitable parts and materials and reduce environmental impact and risk.

Our contribution to achieving this goal involves developing a testing bench for battery packs and modules. Using specific and safe techniques, the bench estimates the state of health of components, which can then be directed toward less demanding second-life applications than powering electric vehicles.
