The new series of “History Lectures,” organised by the Laterza publishing house, began in Bari on Sunday 12 October, in a theatre packed with an interested audience. Professor Silvia Ferrara took centre stage, delivering an insightful speech on the diverse origins of writing and its connection to our thought and perception.

The theme chosen for the 2025 lectures is indeed inventions, which sparks a particular curiosity for us at Masmec. We have supported and attended this initiative for years and technology is part of our daily work, but using science and technique as a lens for reading history stimulates unusual reflections and viewpoints.
